Inquiry That Leads to Conceptual Understanding
Online Workshop – November 2026
Students can describe what they did in a unit. Getting them to explain what they understand is harder, and it depends on how the inquiry was designed in the first place. This workshop is about designing inquiry that gets there, with strategies you can use the following week.
Three Sessions
- Understanding concept-based learning and analysing examples of inquiry that lead to conceptual understanding
- Using questions and case studies for pattern finding and making connections
- Supporting students in articulating their conceptual understanding
